Quenton Currie, M.Sc., Aud(C)

Audiologist, Owner

Quenton is a CASLPA certified Audiologist who brings 20 years of hearing care experience to Red Door. 12 years as senior clinician at the Health Sciences Centre and 5 years working inside the world’s leading developer of hearing technology, Oticon. In 2011 he received the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association National Professional Award. His unique mix of clinical experience and technical expertise means clients will always benefit from the latest technologies and invest in products that actually work. There’s a lot of confusing information in the hearing aid world; Quenton can recommend products worth listening to. Doing something about hearing loss takes courage. Together, we can come up with the best solution for you.

Colleen Kearney, M.Sc., SLP(C)

Speech-Language Pathologist, Owner

Colleen has worked as a Canadian Certified Speech-Language Pathologist for 25 years in Central and Eastern regions of Newfoundland. She has worked in a variety of rural and urban public health settings including: general hospitals and rehabilitation centres; trauma centres and day patient clinics; nursing homes and early learning centres. Colleen has helped solve the speech, language, voice, stuttering and swallowing problems of clients of all ages. Her wide range of clinical experience is further enhanced by specialised training in some of the most respected interventions and best research-based centres in the world such as PECS, the Hanen Centre in Toronto, the Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research and the Prompt Institute in New Mexico. She has further expertise in teaching parents and caregivers to intervene with late talkers and children with social-communication problems such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. For the last 10 years she has been promoting early intervention and awareness of speech and language problems by working with parents, Family Resource Centres, Early Childhood Educators, Physicians, and Government agencies. As a mother of two beautiful, busy girls, Colleen has dealt with the same issues all parents face. Like them, she wants only the best for her children and treats all the kids she sees like her own.
